American kids developing British accent after watching ‘Peppa Pig’

I just red an interesting post on Insider written by Patrick Grafton-Green,  Evening Standard Feb. 13, 2019, 4:53 PM.

He said that the so called “Peppa effect.” phenomenon has got viral through social media platforms.

So many US parents shared the stories of their toddlers developing British accent thanks to the children’s TV show ”Peppa pig”

Well, US young viewers appear to be adopting the southern British accent and vocabulary after watching the show.

Since I really adore the southern British accent too, I might begin to watch the ”Peppa pig” children’s TV show as well. I just hope that I will adopt only her accent and not her voice. Especially it wouldn’t be so convincing and convenient if I also start to snorting like a piggy during my conversations.

In general I believe that Peppa pig show is very educative and interesting. If your kid also love to watch this show you can find plenty of Peppa’s pig toys on line.
